Getting More than What You See
Article by Shipra
The taste and preferences for body jewellery is something that is very subjective to every individual. Some do not like the idea of getting their bodies pierced at all while some cannot live without it. Some like it just a fair bit of amount, while others find the idea to be very likable and interesting. However, people who ultimately do decide to go for body jewellery have their own reasons and those reasons are not same for any two people in this world who are getting body piercing done.
A lip ring is something that is considered to be a fashion statement among the youth today. Both girls and boys, and men and women alike are getting lips rings. Today, it has become a form of unisex fashion and nobody is shying away from it any longer. Even though the reasons for getting a lip ring are different for everyone but every does have a reason. It is not a hidden fact that the pain one goes through while getting a lip ring is immense, thus one main reason for people to get it is that they enjoy pain or that they want to show it to others their level of endurance.
Now, because a lip ring is available in so many different sizes, colors, designs, types etc., one has a lot of variety to choose from. They pick the one which compliments their personal style and something that boosts their confidence. Even rook body jewelry solves the same kind of purpose. Apart from these, a lip ring also gives the people a chance to do something for themselves which probably they have not done in a long time because of responsibilities and time constraint. Getting a lip ring would also give the people an opportunity to calm and relax themselves after they have undergone the pain of getting it.
It is also a wonderful way to make your presence count in a room full of people. It is an equally good way to express what you’re feeling inside. It signifies freedom; it also signifies victory over hardships. It denotes ‘I have arrived’; it also shows ‘I have a strong head’. The reasons are definitely countless.

SDL60C Cool-Tip Diode Pumped ND YAG Laser System for Tattoo Removal, General Dermatology, Permanent Hair Reduction and More
- Treatment Time for Dense Moustache Removal: 2 minutes
- BK7 Cool Tip
- Beam Size and Shape: 1cm round ball optics
- Pulse Duration: 0.05 to 0.1 seconds
- Energy Density (fluence): 0 to 150 Jcm2
The SDL60C produces 150 Jcm2 energy density at 808nm with a pulse duration of 0.1 seconds. Pulse frequency is user-adjustable from 1-7 emissions per second. Unlike the Biotechnique Avance ‘standard’ laser epilators (SLD15, 30, 50, 80 and 100 units) the SDL ‘C’ line is has a specially designed BK7 cool tip condenser which is designed to be in contact with the skin. This allows for far greater absorption and penetration of the laser energy to the desired tissues. With surface laser epilation (again, the standard SDL line) a significant percentage of the laser energy simply bounces off the skin or is absorbed by the hair itself. This creates quite an impressive effect as the laser ‘shaves’ the skin as it treats the follicles below, however, of 180jcm2/second of energy delivered this way, only about 120jcm2 will pass through the skin. This is why the SDL ‘C’ line was developed. It is intended to be performed in conjunction with a topical gel paste (which also contains lidocaine for additional patient comfort). As the SDLC cool tip glides across the gel-coated skin it delivers high fluence pulses deeply into the desired tissues. The results are faster and more substantial than the standard SDL line of surface epilators. Amazingly, the SDLC line can also be used for surface laser epilation procedures just like the standard SDL line. This is achieved by simply holding the module 1/2 inch from the skin rather than gliding it across the gel paste. It is important to note that the SDLC series cool-tip ball lens should never contact the clients skin without protective gel paste, so surface epilation procedures should be done with extra care.
